“Tyler Prestons’ philosophy is to ‘Create simple dishes and create them well”. Tyler’s goal in the Forbidden Foods kitchen was to create simple, tasty recipes that are easy to make and versatile. He wants you to use his recipes as a guide to make your creation using our organic rice range. We’re thrilled to have his expertise in the team, and we’re excited to see what he produces in the kitchen so we can share it with the world. We love his passion towards the fusion of traditional cuisines and adding those elements to the everyday meal.” – Forbidden Foods Team.
Tyler is a north side culinary hero. Born and raised in Wellington, Tyler had his first job as a kitchen hand at a family friend's cafe. He then moved to Melbourne and worked at the prolific Vegie Bar in Melbourne, before jumping in the kitchen of Cafe De Clieu and later becoming executive chef at Seven Seeds.
It wasn’t long until Tyler wanted more out of his career as a chef. His love for the Thai fusion came from working at the award winning Chin Chin restaurant in Melbourne. This is where he honed in on his skills and moved onto opening up his own cafe, Sir Charles. Tyler is currently head chef at Dr Morse, where he is famous for his simple tasty dishes.
With over 10 years experience in nearly every cuisine, we are thrilled to have Tyler as the Forbidden Foods Chef.
