Partnership with Zambrero & Foodbank

Posted on April 30, 2015 by Forbidden Foods

Our friends at Zambrero Mexican Restaurant have been tackling world hunger with a program called "Plate 4 Plate". For every burrito or bowl purchased at Zambrero, a meal is donated to someone in need in the developing world or in an underprivileged Australian community.

To date they have donated over 5.2 million meals with no signs of slowing down and have recently announced a partnership with Foodbank Australia whereby, for each muesli bar sold in Zambrero they will fund a Foodbank breakfast meal for an Australian in need.

We believe in their Plate 4 Plate philosophy and are happy to announce that we'll be supporting this initiative.

With every black rice 500g purchased at a Zambrero Mexican Restaurant a meal is donated to someone in need in Australia.

Find your nearest Zambrero store around Australia here and purchase a bag of Forbidden Foods Black Rice and support the vision of a world without hunger.

We've also built a page for Plate 4 Plate where you can see the progress of our meal donations in Australia and find out more information about the cause.

Regards,

The Forbidden Foods Team
